ThePerfectGecko.com is owned and operated by Chris Martin; a small, home-operated breeder of leopard geckos located in Lake Worth, Florida. My geckos are hand-raised from the moment they're hatched to the moment they're sold to ensure the highest quality animal possible.
This is a hobby for me, and one that I love immensely! Since I do not rely on this as my main source of income, and am not trying to make a million dollars off this, I do not have 1,000’s of geckos. This means that I can put care and devotion into each gecko that I raise, and that each gecko will get the attention it needs to grow into THE PERFECT GECKO!
Through selective breeding, love, care, and devotion, I take pride in knowing that my Perfect Geckos will only get better with each season! So whether you are looking for “The Perfect Gecko” for a pet, or to add to your next breeding project, I have the Perfect one for you!
My fascination for reptiles, and all animals for that matter, started when I was probably around 7 or 8 years old as a kid playing in the yards at friend’s houses. I would notice a lizard on a tree, and no matter what everyone was doing, I had to go run over and catch it, and then have it bite my ear and let it hang there as an earring, lol. This soon turned into me building a lizard colony in a 20 gallon high fish tank, with lizards I caught from outside. By the time I was 13 years old or so, I was breeding Green Anoles, and giving them to friends so they could have them as pets aswell.
I acquired my 1st pair of Ball Pythons at 15 years old. I came across Leopard geckos when I was at a pet store buying feeders for my snakes. I thought they were so cool looking, so me being an impulse buyer, I bought one (a “Normal”). I took it home, and immediately fell in love with it’s personality, colors, temperament, etc.
I’ve had a bunch of other reptiles through the years, including Albino Burmese Pythons, Red Tail Boas, Iguanas, Savannah Monitors, etc, but ultimately, the one reptile that I just can’t get away from are Leopard Geckos. Leopard Geckos are now the only reptiles I own, and take pride in all of my beautiful morphs!
